| Samuel Muturi Njuguna (Muturi Samu)
was born in Kiambu Kenya, Africa in 1980. He attended Matathia Primary School
and graduated from Escarpment High School in 1997. His art career started
in his childhood with lots of passion. He works mainly in oil, acrylic,
sculpture, pastel, charcoal and murals. His artwork is a reflection of his
inner feelings, concerns of what he perceives of society, beauty of his
African culture and wild animals because they were his next door neighbors.
He was inspired by real life experiences. He has exhibited his artwork in Kenya National Museum and Gallery Watatu in Kenya, Africa, Goethi Institute, Yaya Centra, Village Market, Sarit Center, Ramoma, and French Cultural all in Nairobi, Africa, Gallery 2611 in Redwood City, CA, and Zoe Café in Menlo Park, CA. He has done murals in Kenya, Africa, California and Texas. |
