Alejandra Carpenter is an accomplished artist with a wide range of talents. She has mastered the use of several mediums; oil, acrylic, and watercolors. Her work encompasses a spectrum of styles and personalities. It varies from realistic to abstract, vivacious to inert, and from bold to subtle. Her work has evolved over the past 20 years and displays powerful images of color, passion, and insight into differing emotions.

Alejandra began her study of art in Honduras, Central America. She was born in a small town, El Progreso, to a physician for the Standard Fruit Company. El Progreso is a modest rural town located on the north coast of Honduras. This area has many diverse cultures in a lush tropical setting. Alejandra has incorporated her Central American influences in her artwork giving it a unique cultural blend and splendor.

After moving to the United States, her passion and appreciation for art grew. She continued her studies of art in the United States and Japan. She has studied at several colleges in Northern Nevada, as well as received private educational experiences with the renowned artist Zoltan Szabo. With her knowledge of art, Alejandra has taught aspiring artists at Western Nevada Community College. She has received acclaim for her art; having won awards for over 20 years, and has been commissioned by government entities and private individuals.

Alejandra finds joy in being able to release emotions from within viewers of her art. She believes that art can touch a person’s inner being. The artwork reflects Alejandra’s journey through life; including country, place, time, and emotions. Her vivid imagination creates art for the viewer to develop their own emotions and storyline associated with the painting.
